Ancient Macedonian helmet from the 4th century BC. The work is made of polyester, patinated with green earth pigment. The helmet is attached to a brass cylindrical rod that rises vertically from the wooden pedestal.
The work is a reconstruction of an ancient Macedonian helmet from the 4th century BC, made according to samples found on the territory of ancient Macedonia. Analogies for the shape and dimensions are drawn from the specimen found in the tomb of Philip the Second of Macedon in Kutlesh (Βεργίνα, Vergina) in Aegean Macedonia and the specimen found in the village of Mrvinci Valandovsko in R. Macedonia.
